I actually took this photo with my camera phone late one night on the way home from a subway trip to Boston. It turned out remarkably well (with a little editing help). One of the things I really like about it is the way the neon stands out.
This is a rather stark reminder of how close we live to the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant. The building is on the left as you head into Plum Island in Newbury, MA
I am a freelance photographer who prefers the photo-journalistic style, but can shoot under any conditions. There is nothing better than catching something happening "in the moment," or looking at an ordinary item and seeing only extraordinary in it. That's what most of these photos represent.
